YOUNG

LAWYERS DIVISION

A “Young Lawyer” is a member of the Sam Cary Bar Association in good standing, who has been admitted to their first bar for less than five years, regardless of age, or any attorney under the age of 40.

The SCBA YLD is responsible for the education and professional development activities of the SCBA.  The YLD hosts programs to enhance law student performance on the Colorado Bar Exam and to assist new attorneys transition into the practice of law.

Sam Cary Bar Association, through the SCBA YLD, supports BLSA, insuring regular communication with and providing programming to address the issues of members of the Black Law Students' Association chapters at the University of Colorado-Boulder (CU) and University of Denver (DU) law schools.  The YLD facilitates a mentoring program, benefiting both young lawyers and BLSA members.
